I want to be one of the first to congratulate Jane and Phil Hunt for their fabulous win at Port Elgin.Grown on their own seed and pollinated with their own,this could start a Hunt dynasty for the future AG gene pool.
They have put so much into the AG hobby the last few years and now their growing dreams have come true.Just a great success story all round,couldn't happen to a more deserving and nice couple.

The main tent exploded as 2000 people roared the accomplishment. It will all be on TV soon as the camera crews from Discovery channel caught it all on film.....

What is more huge is the poor weather we had in Ontario this year. They battled a frost in early June and a very heavy frost in mid September too. Record rainfall and cold nights all summer...This pumpkin was only 51" on Day 20...To get this result is simply amazing in the most challenging of conditions...Lithovit must surely work!

Jane worked her but off all season long and Phil guided every step of the way. To see them hug each other was priceless

Thank you very much everyone. WOW, what a shock. Jane really worked her butt off this season. When they announced the number, I nearly had a stroke. The best part was when all the growers rushed up for a mass celebration. A really great GVGO moment. It was nice to share that special moment with all the people who helped us this year, with our friends & fellow members. I would like to thank our coach Russ Landry for all his help & advise. Russ isn't just another pretty face on the GVGO, he's our research guy & a very good friend. His advise & research helped us so much this season. Thanks again buddy. Thanks also to BP Brian & 007 (Phil J ) for helping keep things quiet. We were so worried that it would split that we didn't want to say anything. Afterall it was our only baby left in the patch. Thanks again everyone.
