Cologne Brescia Italy

Italy did it too, last sunday Paolo Ermacora have weigh his pumpkin to local fair (pumpkin fest) the pumpkin is 444kg or 978 lbs out of 1392 Braznik it is 10% over the chart, so this one is the biggest ever grow in Italy at the moment, but is possible that the things can to change rumors of one more big also, may be the 1000 lbs wall will be broke
Congrats
Paolo!

My two cents there will be at leat 15 that weigh over 1500 pounds this weekend, how about a pool of the top 10 total weight for October 3rd for GPC weighoffs
one each of my 2009 seeds if anyone wants them.
I will go with:

15,800 pounds

Orange in Aroostook

Aroostook County,Maine

I have a feeling the state record for Maine will be broken in Topsfield this weekend. Al Berard won at the Cumberland weighoff with a 896 lber, there has to be a larger pumpkin than that grown in Maine this year . A buddy of mine and fellow grower are making the 7 hour drive to Topsfield to attend our first ever weigh off as spectators, looking forward to meeting some fellow growers.

There's a good chance the Canadian record could fall.

All these huge pumpkins this year have me re-thinking, what weather really is "IDEAL" for growing monsters???

AFter the seasons done we will have to look back on the weather question......not that we can do much about it, but John is right...what is the best weather for these to grow at...?>?

i think the key weather factor is consistancy. for as weird as this summer was in the midwest, it was freakily consistant. when evaluating the final weather data, this should be looked at besides highs and lows and precipitation amounts.
