You might be able to get pretty heavy duty ones from a brick and landscape company if one is near by. Check out craigslist in your area for free pallets too. You can always makes your own as well pretty cheap and to your own dimensions.

Ditto on Craigslist. Thats where I got mine. You could also try Freecycle, I see pallets listed for free on there sometimes. Skim through the list to find which freecycle group is nearest you. http://groups.yahoo.com/search?query=minnesota+freecycle

Any large industrial factory would give them to you just to get rid of them.

Grain elevator, farm store, gas station, or agronomy station. If they charge you, don't pay it. We have hundreds we give away or burn every year.
