I know, I looked at the weather this morning and went WAAAAAAAK! Time to beef up the fence on that side and plan some sheet plastic protection (if Weatherchannel online says 40, brace for freezing)

I'm fighting for my kids' pumpkin plant that survived the hail storm. The plant is only 100 sq feet so we are going to make a run at keeping it warm. It was pollinated on August 31 and she has an outside shot at a personal best of 100 lbs so we are going to do what we can to keep the frost at bay.

If there's a grower with rebar, 2x dimensional lumber, a roll of sheet plastic, and some brooder lights, there's HOPE.... I'm about to go out there and put Monster into a winter home....

We had it bad for a few months with the rain here in R.I. I didnt know when it would stop. For the first month I didnt have to water at all. Now that the season is coming to a close, the leaves are slowly dieing from the frost and cooler temps not to mention the plant has given us all it has.

You keep that snow up there, dang, it feels like it's going to here. The wind is (deleted) and I have buttoned down and added more tarping already... and it's raining sideways.

Yo Dan
Tomorrow morning we will suck up the 12 inches of snow that is predicted to fall too. Its coming your way. 58 is the average low from May on.... Hah....dont believe it... 36 was the low at the JaredZ patch....Hypothermic refridgeration

Man that sucks. The simple fact is Wisconsin is WAY overdue for a cold September. We've now had 3 gimme's in a row. Cold summer this year, but so far September warmer than August!

I've learned how much Weather Channel lies, last night was 35 when they said 42... tonight they're saying 39. Yeep.

I'll see what the dawn brings...
