The person whose guess comes closest to the official GPC top-10 average at the Durham Fair will win a limited 1116 Trailor ‘08. For those people that may be unfamiliar with what the 1116 can produce, check out Jason’s diary (Trailor 1116) for a picture of the offspring.

Team-Pumpkin has been working hard this year to help everyone out, and I think it will show at the scales. The preparations are underway, and the pumpkins are in the process of getting ready to come to the Fair.

The weigh-in is this Wednesday the 23rd from 3-9pm, and all are welcome to attend even if you lost your pumpkin this year.

So your top-10 weight average guess will be taken from now until noon on Wednesday. Team-Pumpkin wishes guessers and participants the best of luck.

Well what a great night of pumpkin weighing, and while our top-10 average was respectable it was also nice to see how many growers were able to hold their pumpkins together and made our top 20 impressive compared to years past.

Great job Jason on the new CT State Record of 1,449.5lbs!!!

Well the official top-10 average = 965.1lb

Which makes the guess of 968 by auburnskyfarm only 2.9lb off and is the closest guess. Congratulations on the guess and also your entry. Looks like you are going to have a good seed to grow next year;-)
