Here in central MN, Sept. temps have been like we would expect in July. Many highs in the 80's and lows in the 60's. At 2:30 AM last night it was 66 degree F. Today we got up to 86. Two years ago around this time, I had frost.

I was hoping for a cool September so my August flood damaged pumpkins would have a chance to last to weighoff. But so far September has been hotter than August. And not a drop of rain now for 24 days in a row since the 6" cloudburst. Still another grower I have been advising loves the weather. They are putting on 9 pounds a day and hope to make 700# with their first competition pumpkin.

It has been really nice in Colorado all month but a cold front is moving in today and the next few nights could dip into the 30s.

It's going to be 100 Monday, 103 Tuesday and 101 Wednesday. On Thursday we get a cooling trend with a mellow 98.
