There hasen't been a update on Don's pumpkin for quite a while...Make ya a bit suspicious...
Few questions Don. Is she still holding? If so, what's the weight on that beast!

this is bunker down time for most competition growers, its human nature not to talk to much when the possibility is there that later on they will have to answer another question............. HEY, WHAT HAPPENED? LO

I just heard a report on the statewide farm radio show. Farm anchor Ken Root had spoken to Don, and he is worried that there are bigger pumpkins in Wisconsin, Illinois and Ohio that might beat his. But he does have 2 contenders, and one is taping bigger than his 1662. Might make for an interesting Pumpkinfest in Anamosa.

One year ago the media had us chasing a 1900 pounder that finished closer to 1500. Lets give the growers a chance to drop the tailgate. Then the scales will decide. Unthil the weighoff, the last thing Don needs to do is update his diary.

I'm with Steve. There are going to be more than one to break the record(imho), but only one will come out the champion. Congrats to all the contenders!

Julie is the quiet one,,,no interviews. No diary updates for awhile. Don says she won't tell him the OTT, should be interesting watching that Young household the next few weeks.

Don't you guys know? Don is kinda shy and really feels uncomfortable talking about his sucess as a giant pumpkin grower.

Julie doesn't need to talk smack. Her pumpkins do the talking.
