It's no Official yet but it appears Okiegal (Debbie Rebel) has a winner on the vine, she's within a few pounds now.
Congratulations!!!!

It would sure be nice to see both these pumpkins weighed at the same weigh-off...only real way to settle who might have the new record.
Same scale, same judges, same conditions and no advantage or disadvantage to either participant.

I'm not hauling to Missouri and he's not waiting and hauling to Boise City.... if the weigh is done according to GPC standards it's supposed to be the same no matter where or when...

Besides if we both weighed at the same site, we may have to go out and settle it once and for all.
I sure would hate to have admit Debbie wooped me in a fight. LOL

Nah, we'd go have some brewskis, blather, then if you tripped and busted yerself in the parking lot .... that'd be your problem.
You just tell me how much your anvil weighed on the 3rd, Pat-ty. :)

Both awesome achievements Debbie and Pat regardless of the outcome, anytime you can go the distance in the land of tornados, hailstorms, extreme heat and violent thunderstorms you have perservered and beaten the odds. Good luck to both of you terrific growers come weigh-off time!

It was in the high 90's during pollination time, I didn't think I was going to set any fruit. I spent a small fortune on bags of ice, but I saved the females.

Thanks JD :)
Pat, you're not saying anything I didn't have to deal with either.... getting a set was rough this year.
BTW JD, it's Deb, thanks. Pat is trying to shave my goat... and I don't call him Pat-ty very often, heh.

Man I must be getting old and cranky....but I remember when a fruit had to be solid for a PB and wieghed for a state record....but I certainly wish you both new PB's and a state record and have enjoyed your banter and one-upmanship during the season.Good luck !

Wait a minute here, If it was me, and I knew I had a probable Ohio state record to be weighed in for Ohio, and the only place left to take it was a Kentucky GPC weigh off,, I would load that sucker up and get it weighed there for all people to see that big sucker being weighed!,, It just wouldn't be as fun doing it at home with just a couple people around, but thats just me.

Ah Thomas, so nice of you to drop in. :) All's fair in pumpkin'growin' even sandbagging it by the dumptruck load.
Brooks, I will do what I have to, if I can make a weighoff I will, if not I'll certify weigh it (and get a TV crew here) or at least youtube it.
If I get my buttwhupped at least I got one over the magic number! Grow'm bigger.
Thanks Glenn; *I* am not saying I have it yet; Pat-ty started it... heh. We'll see when she goes to scale.

Good points G and Brooks.....a record pumpkin should be on the record and weighed at a certified site/weighoff for everyone to see and enjoy.

I agree, weighoffs are the place to share a record but they don't always happen (see the Finders and Brodie... awesome pumpkins just the same)
Meantime. Thomas, iffin yer sittin on a biggun; you got to weigh that one sometime. It's perfectly legal for you to raise the bar if you can get it there. :)
Pat, been fun squaring off this year, nothing like some good fert-flinging to get the rear in gear and get the growin' done.
If nothing else is in the way, compared to last year, I have a chance. That means a lot. Been a heckuva ride so far, we'll see. Got a bit of time left on this ride!

it has been fun watching this rivalry take shape all season long. no matter what the outcome. best of luck and the chips will fall where they may come weigh off time. but the rivalry can be the most important thing that has grown between you both and something you will always remember. a good rival will encourage your silly brain to go out there in 100 degree heat if needed to do what needs to be done, cuz in the back of your mind...it is there...the picture of your rival out there sweating his or his ass off out there doing what needs to be done...for one reason...just to beat you. george j. keeps me on my toes and i wouldn't have done what i have done the past 2 years without his stupid face in the back of my mind. no offense georgie boy...i know my fat ugly face has to be a nightmare up in that noggin of yours. lol.

Well I really don't have much in the way of competition, there are only 3 Okla growers on this list, and we are spread far and wide here.
That's ok I have a few tricks to use yet.
