BEAST MASTER

Enumclaw, Washington

Stan Pugh owns Puyallup Fair in 2009. They should rename the Fair the Pugh-Yallup Fair. 1136 Pounds after taping in the mid 900's. Beat the fair record of 1034 set by Dean Biss last year. This fruit was heavy. The fruit was out of Stans own 1053 pollinated by the 898 Knauss.Heavy pollinated by the 898, I'll take a few of those seeds Stan. Joining Stan at the top was another beginning grower Joel Holland at 998 I believe. When these two show up you just hope for third. Coming in 3rd was Ryan Ewing at 991 with an awesome cross of the 1600 pairs. Fourth was second year grower Walker Dixon with a 941 pounder out of the 1536 Vankooten pollinated by the 1568 Connolly , I believe. Awesome at about 15% over. Plant looked just like the momma. 21 pumpkins entered in the adult division. We all know the top three brought their little pumpkins. In the next five weeks Pugh and Holland will be bringing their more substantial fruit. A packed house viewed the weighoff on the Fair's opening evening. If somebody doesn't beat me to the punch I'll try to get all the results.

Fantastic, Stan! Won the fair and set a new Fair record, way to go! Congrats to others who weighed off also. 60 pounds over Ron, not too bad for that size.
