I think this is probably a function of when the pumpkin was set. A late set pumpkin could do a lotta pounds in Sept here in California. But I did do an even 300 pounds with my 1244 in Sept/early Oct. This pumpkin was pollinated July 1. and was cut from the vine 10 days before the weigh off due to stem rot issues....

My 966 I grew in 2006 put on an estimated 330 pounds in September and then put on another 60 pounds in October before the Borchard Farms weighoff which was late in October. It was pollinated mid July.

My 991 Urena put on 511 pounds from August 26 thru October 1st last year. About half of what yours is doing this year :-)
