Congratulations to Steve Hubacek of Wasilla, Alaska with his beastly world record cabbage entry at the Alaska State Fair in Palmer on Wednesday. The giants official weight was 125.9 lbs, breaking the former record of 124 lbs by Dr Bernard Lavery of Wales. Just moving this cruciferous monster to weigh-off had to have been well executed operation. I was lucky enough to have witnessed the event first hand and will post shots later on my diary. Steve has another possible heavier one to be weighed at the Alaska Giant Cabbage Weigh-off on Friday Sept 4th. Congrats again on the cruciferous conquest!
