During the last month prior to the weigh-off, my workload in the patch tends to reduce, I check the pumpkins every day, make sure they are covered at night, continue with the light feeding, but over all the "heavy lifting" in the patch seems to slow down. Am I missing something? I find myself wandering in the patch, looking for things to do :)Is there something I should be doing to maximize these last 30 days?

Weed control if you're wandering. :) Nothing like getting in there to spy any disease or bugs early on.

not a whole lot to do at this time of the season. keep checking mains, stumps and stems daily for sign of any possible problems. blanket (always) on the cool nights. keep lightly watered. sheets only on the hot days and uncovered on the days the temp is in low seventies. cover pumpkin and stem with a tarp when it rains. an occasional spray if you are lacking in any nutrients.put out some moth balls and mouse bait for the little critters that love getting into any blossom or front bottom pockets this time of year. sit back relax, try and estimate based on the last weeks measurements just how much more she migh grow. ---------you could be surprised.
