Has anyone ever seen a pumpkin like this? It came from a seed from last year's Dill. This vine had 4 that looked like this. My other vines were the same seed and none of them look like this strange thing. It is growing 4 or 5 lbs a day. vine is healthy. http://bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=118993

May be mosaic virus. I can see it getting a little bumpy. I had one start to get green splotches on it, and it got bumpy. I'm guessing it was a mosaic virus. Are any of your younger leaves looking unusual

It sure does look like it doesnt it Doug?,, I have had young fruit right before pollination look like that , that had mosiac virus. But like CM says it has a green stem so it might be a squash, or half orange pumpkin half squash. It sure is neat look none the less.
Thanks for sharing that Galyn.

I wodnered if it might be mosaic virus. What should i do? Will this affect my other pumpkins? And the leaves all look normal.

If the leaves are normal, I'd leave it. What ever inoculation may have occurred can't be changed now anyway.

there were 2 fruits early on that aborted. Probably lack of pollination. They were the same way. Several weeks later this and another just like it showed up. The other aborted. I guess i will leave it and see what happens. I can't grow a big pumpkin, maybe i can grow the strangest!
