Has anyone ever used Giberellic Acid as a foliar spray late in the season. There is info that shows it can be done but is risky I know. Thanks for your feedback in advance.

I have a 1142 VanKooten that slowed its growth to a crawl at just day 28.
I waited 5 more days and then decided I would hit the whole plant with GA3 at 600ppm. I gave it 4 applications every 3-4 days over a 2 week period.
Not a thing happened! No response, no indication that I had ever done a thing to the plant.
(One Caveat - I cant tell for sure if the pumpkin itself was defective prior to trying the GA3. It has not aborted but clearly there is somthing not right with its growth.)
