Cause of the leaf yellowing is unknown. No herbicide applications where made and the plants next to it show no yellowing at all. This plant had some yellowing early around the fringes of some of the leaves. The yellowing grew more pronounced as it aged. Leaves with yellow otherwise appear healthy. I think it may be a genetic trait....

Vince, I get the same type yellowing on a leaf here and a leaf there on my plants, have no idea what causes it but it doesnt seem to hurt the growth any from what I can tell, and by the looks of yours doesnt seem to be effecting your pumpkin ether,,lol! Nice one!

Nice to see you posting here Vince. I've wondered if you were growing this year. Best of luck the rest of the season!

I'd bet that the yellowing of the leaves seen in the pic is a magnesium deficency. If a few handfuls of epson salts were spread on the ground under the leaf canopy and watered in, then the next set of leaves which grow will be normal--but yellow would not leave the leaves that are already yellow.

Thanks guys... could be a mag or iron deficency. More likely magnesium. I'll check it out!

I had a few plants do that last year. Magnesium really helped.

My magnesium levels have always tested high in my patch and my 1142 Vankooten has yellowing in the leaves and the 1385 Jutras right beside it has none, so I believe it's a genetic trait of the seed.
