Yep, last night while flipping through the dial, I caught the last five seconds of a report of a giant pumpkin patch in Haskell, OK. It was on our late local news here in Idaho.

It was great to see it in high definition!

I have had reports it was on Iowa, and my hometown Pittsburg Ks.

I have had at least 3 people here in town tell me they saw it as well. This little town I live only has about 1500 people so it's a big deal.

Also Fox News on the "Special Report with Bret Baier". I could not believe my eyes. I had to rewind it and call the rest of the family. Congratulations. Even pollination! Good luck going for the OK state record.

You can google 'Oklahoma Giant Pumpkin' and the CBS article is on youtube as well. Great job!! I think it was 600+ pounds and still growing.

No silence, just finally found some time to read.

Been busy trying to promote our weighoff and get sponsors lined up. Meanwhile my patch is still growing....

As I said before, good luck.

I think Okie just might have a dinghummer hiding in her patch, maybe Amigatec shouldnt be crowing so early untill the pumpkin hits the scales? Time will tell,,,, time will tell....

last year mine was weighed 4th from the end and came in second place. over 200 lb ott difference between the first and second place pumpkins, but the actual difference was 16 lbs. the scales will tell the truth in the end. this could be an interesting race for the record books brooksy boy. i think you are right to say only time will tell. best of luck to all oklahoma growers and congrats on such a fine season and promoting giant pumpkin growing in your state.
