I have read Don Langavin's 3rd book about the subject of cleaning the fruit. Today I washed the fruit with some mild soap and rinsed it with a cap full of bleach to 20 parts water and then I rinsed to pumpkin then dried it off. It is said that by doing this you will kill off any pathogens and the fruit will maintain good health. Anyone think there is something different i should do?

I am from the school of no harm no foul. I like to leave mine alone unless there is a problem. Problem is you are also killing off the good critters too.
