The growth on my pumpkin to has stalled or certainly has slowed down. The fruit certainly looks health and gets good care. After i was forced to pruin the main vine past the pumpkin do to stem stress the fruit has slowed down conciderably. From 25 pounds to 18 then to 5. I almost feel the plaot may have reached its potential. I have a small planting area. I'm freaked out and hope I don't lose this to rot or another funky disease! Lol! It's currently at 243 up from 238 on Sat. Maybe I'm just not a farmer and i should stick to my Bagpiping and killing the overtime at work! Lol! Hope my fellow growers are doing better!

Bagpiping?!?!?!?! You need to work this plant, seriously, anytime your not at work killing the overtime you need to be in that garden getting the most from your plants. I'm pretty sure your neighbors will back me up on this. Go pick the brains of all the best growers you know, spend hours in the patch learning intimately all the qirks and foibles of the atlantic giant. Give no weed or insect quarter, you will be rewarded for your efforts. And so will your neighbors.

What, people pay you to stop playing it? I understand it's the only "musical" instrument to be classified as a weapon of war. Apparantly the racket it produces can inspire men to murder one another. The only thing more horrendous than the sound it makes is the attire of those who are inspired to play this instrument................I'm messing with you. I hope when you practice it's under the flight path at the airport. When I lived in San Diego there were pipers practicing in Balboa Park at night, I understand they were asked to stop as it was distressing to the animals in the zoo.
