108F, heavy smoke and no water for two weeks most likely means my plants are dead. Though that's not what I'm worried about. In just two weeks 760 fires were started in lower B.C. 460 were started by lightning. 30+ Came massive fires. Here's some of them.
Hell Creek Fire- 750 Hectares 50% contained.
Momich Lake wildfires- 2000 Hectares Contained unknown.
Glenrosa- 1100 Hectares 100% contained. http://bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=113161
Rose Valley- 900 Hectares 100% contained. http://www.vancouverite.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/West-Kelowna-firefighters.jpg.jpg

Lillooet Fire- 4000 Hectares 0% contained. Just half a Km away from the town of lillooet. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_VkSVcl0aQAg/SihINpcWGtI/AAAAAAAABW8/o8Ptd9vZlv4/s400/bc-090604-lillooet-fire-air.jpg
Here's the fire that's got the Okanagan worried. Terrace Mountain Fire- 8300 Hectares. Its' burned all of bear creek and is heading to West Kelowna (Were I live) If they don't stop it in the next 5 days, West Kelowna will be burned. http://gallery.castanet.net/albums/WestsideFires/TerraceMountain/July23-Photos_KellyHayes-Castanet/July+23+_2_.jpg.html http://gallery.castanet.net/albums/WestsideFires/TerraceMountain/July23-Photos_KellyHayes-Castanet/July+23+_5_.jpg.html

3 Kids about my age were killed by the Merritt Fire. About 40 Houses have been burned, it could jump to about 1000+ If the Terrace fire reaches West Kelowna. There's been about 100 Car crashes since you can't even see were your going because of the smoke. The fires want revenge, and that's what they are getting.

Dang on the whole world going up... still hope you're safe and your place is past danger. May it all get contained and put out soon.
(for us US bodies, 1 hectacre is about 4 acres, that's important for those figures quoted!)
