My pumpkin is estimated at 369lbs. One of the shoulders of the pumpkin is starting to touch the vine. Its growing off a secondary vine since my main was eaten. im going to post some pictures of the vine. what should i do? i was thinking i could cut off the vine just passed the stem where the vine extends an extra ten feet. Thanks.

I will take more advice too guys.....
my pumpkin stems and shoulders are 90 degrees from their main vines but like i said, the shoulders are 1/4" or closer to touchign the vine.
styrofoam in between for now, if i cut the main after the stem, i still would have to deal with the problem in front of the stem.
thanks

Jeremy, If you do cut the main after the pumpkin, you could deal with the other side of the main by moving the pumpkin a little if possible. This could be a risky proceedure, so I assume no responsibility for your decision. If you have pulp mill fabric under the pumpkin, somhow pulling on the fabric could move the pumpkin into a better position. I may have to consider doing this on one of my pumpkins eventually. Good luck1
