tell your best recent blunder in the patch that cracked yourself up.
last night i had the 420 stihl fogger on my back and was in full throttle spray when i was attcked by a swarm of yellow jackets living in an old birdhouse on my fence line. i got stung in the back of the neck, tried to swat them out of my eyes, flung my glasses into the patch, went down to one knee with the 420 fogger cockeyed and pulling on my neck, still shooting fungicide and insecticide everywhere as my finger clenched up. i gathered my wits to take a look over my shoulder and saw a neighbor who was coming up to say hello and saw me yelling while getting stung and flapping around looking like ghostbusters or worse. he ended up coming into the patch to find my glasses that had one lense popped out and i almost stepped on them. so i preceeded to thank him and feel embarassed beyond belief cuz i am a fat sweaty freak of a human being when in full throttle mode and you can imagine all that flailing around with the fogger on the back and the stinging and screamin. Jesus help me. i can't even imagine if i was on the other end of that visual scene. lol.
he had to tell some good stories over breakfast that next morning at break time at work. yep, classic shazzy at his best.

running out in my night gown in the middle of the night to put up a wind break.. thinking I was alone THEN realizing my neighbor was out tying down his trash cans... THEN remembering I had been doing quite a bit of bending over in a relatively short night gown!! LOL

Good timeing for this post Shazzy, a couple days ago while trimming some leaves away from the stump area I noticed a tertiary vine that I had missed earlier and it had gottten a couple feet long. Reached down in there with the knife and proceeded to cut my first secondary vine off clean! At least the tertiary was attached to it!!! lol

Had two pumpkins set on the same plant. One stopped growing so I was going to cut it off. Of course I get that typical cell phone call when I don't want to be bothered. After a few minutes jabbering on the phone I figured I can multi task since dark was creeping in. Yup you guessed it!!!! I cut off the wrong one!! TOP THAT!!

I was working on a neighbors plants while he was on vacation last year. I was using his tools (big mistake). He had a big old dull pruning knife. I was trying to cut off a secondary that was too close to his keeper pumpkin. Yup, you guessed it I cut off the keeper pumpkin...clean...DOH.
Good thing the next one down the line grew to 822 and a Howard Dill award. Not bad for a first year grower.

Pushed down on the main vine at night, only to come back during the next day to find out it has been cracked 3/4 of the way thru.

Laid down a walking board to get to the end of the vine, all I had was 2x6's left and with size 12 feet apparently that wasn't big enough. As I bent down to bury some vines I lost my balance and fell back. When I put my hand down to catch myself I landed right on the secondary I was training as the main on my second plant. crushed the secondary completely. Went out and bought some planks the next day.

Last year I lost three shoes in the patch in gumbo at different times. One I did not find until plowing and it came up in cherry pink rubble.
Neighbor across commented about my daisy duke shorts (cutoffs) being very entertaining while he was drinking beer and I didn't know he was over there. I started making my cutoffs longer and saving the daisy dukes for jumping in the pond where water clearance matters....

I pruned 25% of my plant thinking it was another vine. Growth slowed to almost nothing.
