The instructions say to mix with water, I did. I also noticed some growers sprinkle some kind of powder that looks like Captan on there plant, do some growers not mix it with water and just sprinkle it on? thanks

Richard I like Daconil much better. I feel it works as good if not better, it won't "puff" and end up in your lungs if you bump the bottle, and you aren't tempted to "blow" it into splits with straws and once again get it into your lungs. Daconil and a paint brush straight out of the bottle and you are all set.
Yes some guys sprinkle the stuff straight down the main vine....or more..yikes. Lots of ways to skin a cat and I saw what looked like an entire bottle down the main vine of a 1662# a couple years back. Results speak for themselves there!

Sevin powder is what you see (likely) . Captan is nasty dangerous stuff-use sulfer instead.
