Does anyone go to the St. Croix Falls WI pumpkin weigh off? Is that all it is or is there other pumpkin related festivities? Isn't september a bit soon to be cutting your pumpkin? How do you know when to cut it? Before frost? or do you cover for a while?

nekoosa is the best pumpkin fest in wisconsin, and that starts on october 3. I never heard of st. croix falls weigh off.

I believe the Stillwater weighoff is put on by the St. Croix growers
