If I quit I still have August and September to fish, golf and sip lemonade.

in the winter you can still ice fish, bowl, and sip beer. ain't much to do the next 60 days but spray a combo of fungicide and insecticide once a week. a little pruning of pop up terts and a timer for your watering. plenty of time for golfing and fishing and pumpkin growing the next 2 months at the same time. and if you guit...i would think that would make you a quitter. if you are comfortable at throwing in the towel or letting mother nature pin your back to the ground, then just lay down. but to go this far with only 60 days of minimal work left to do, i say hang in there, shake your fist up at God like steve mcqueen in papillion when he is floating on a bag of coconuts in the middle of the ocean yelling up at the sky, "i am still here ya bastard!" he made it to shore eventually. true story. get one to the scale no matter what the size is, and if they all go down...go root for your brother and sister growers at the weigh off and have fun. i learned that life lesson from my fellow illinois grower and friend, gene mcmullen...a class act good dude.

It'll probably be too cold for lemonade. Too wet for decent green speeds. Ice fishing sounds good if you have the ice house & transport.
