It seems I'm hearing alot of growers from the northeast saying about stem splits this year. I have several with stem splits already and I've never had one before. Is this crazy weather causing stem splits? I always thought it was mostly a genetic issue. Didn't really think that weather was much of a factor but maybe it is, or maybe its just me. What do you guys think?

Stem splits are a sign of rapid or start-stop growth....I'll let you know when/if any of mine start to grow................

what is the best remedy? just keeping up on the fungicides? do you coat them as soon as they show up?
