if I would treat all of my cucurbits with bayer tree and shrub, are the edibles still edible? I thought bayer made a veggie pest product with the same active ingredient but half the amount of active ingredient. Is this correct? if they are edible after treating, any recommendations on timing between spraying and harvesting? Also some of my cantaloupes are close to an ag plant, so will most likely get some overspray.

Not legally because of domestic labeling laws but...

Provado is the same thing labeled for potatoes, cotton, peppers, tomatoes, etc.

Admire is labeled for edible cucumbers among other vegetables.
If not for imidacloprid many of the vegetables we eat would cost a lot more than we're currently paying.

Is it true that many of the above do not trans-locate to the fruit?

We know that Imidacloprid does NOT translocate to the fruit.

so it appears that I should be ok because the Provado and Admire have a much heavier amount of active ingredient. I am mainly interested in spraying my pie pumpkins and winter squash. (in addition to the AG's of course)
