Most HH's have told me that a "number" is not what's important. What's important is that you have enough to substain a large pumpkins. If your pumpkin is set 11 feet or more out on the main then you should have plenty unless your plant isn't growing sides for some reason, and if that's the case your plant probably will not grow a big bump anyway. This is one of the reason why it's important to set your pumpkin 10 feet or more out.
