I know that looks bad but it was worse. In morning I'm doing various blocking and it will improve. The stem is pointing straight down and the vine actually has slack.

Since that pic I did remove those two secondaries, they were actually sorta short.

The pumpkin 'hunched' shoulders on me and I couldn't get the vine away from it.... it gained 13.5# which is 1.5# more than the day before. I shall see, indeed.

And I moved it a bit again. The vine on that one isn't at all 'crisp' or I would have cut that one a long time ago.

Originally there was almost that much curve above the pumpkin from when I flopped the vine and pegged it to set it, but those shoulders just wouldn't give up. The upside shoulder is actually more pronounced and sticks up farther than the down side one...

I also think you might have cut the main to soon after the stem. You should have at least left 6 inches. Good luck.

I would have liked to have left more main, it was right on the fruit. I would like to have not cut the main at all but it was impossible and only getting worse. Again, I will see what happens...

I had a 90 in it originally.... sigh. Despite all the mucking I did with it, it gained on gaining (per day gain average rose). That one has about six weeks to hold together and finish doing something, maybe seven to eight.
