I have a side vine that is producing double leaves as it grows, I wish all my vines were doing this, I would have a jungle. Is that common? Also, when does the main vine quit growing? Mine is still growing at a rate of 5 inches per day, and I need it since I had to terminate two other long vines.

Your main will continue to grow upwords of 40 feet if you allow it to. I have heard of folks letting there mains grow the entire season.

I've had double leaves occur occasionally on sidevines. I don't ever recall the whole sidevine being a double vine. I wonder if this has ever happenes? Ditto what the Trooper said regarding the mainvine.

Maybe the pumpkin gods know how quick I need to catch back up after my setbacks. :-)

Watch out for them later in the season...once you terminate everything else, those tertiaries wwill start growing again.
