It sure seems like it. I just now have some of the plants to that point... shaded, sanded, pruned and buried, and it seems like break time, but those vines will continue to grow past the fruit...

Whew! I still have alot of worrying to do and I have alot of work still ahead. I am commited to try and make this work without giving up. I almost pulled it up at one point. One plant is enough work for me, you people out there who are taking care of multiples have your hands full for sure.

I need a stimulus check to pay my water bill. That and I think I can sleep some now, I have saved my plants from drying up.

Just finished all vine burying earlier this week. All pollination's are done and one good fruit set on all three plants. Rest of the season...kill the bugs, disease, and feed!

Same here Brooks on stuff here but at farm just getting going from cold start. You may need a heat blanket if our cold weather heads that way calling for 60s for highs and as low as 48 degrees for lows for several days. Are you sure this is July?

I got two weeks behind because of the crime spree we had. And MAN O MAN has it been crazy trying to catch up. The main problem I have is that the older side vines have gotten so big and the roots have grown so deep that I have to make decisions on weather to leave them or dig them up and cover them the right way. Some I have and some I havent. Next year I vow to do seveal things and one of them is to NEVER get behind on my burying.

Pat, if you aren't deciding between macaroni and ramen, you aren't growing! :D My water bill is bad and getting worse, I don't want to know what August brings.
I'm at last backup set Friday morning, shelter building, wondering where my mill fabric order is, terminating, and weeding. Plus pruning unwanted pregnancies (dang those sneaky vines and bees) and burying.

Yes i to hate de-buring my vines. Dan thorns always get stuck into my legs. Now once the burying is over then the real relaxation will follow. Im off to get my grinding wheel to work on them burs.....

The hard part of growing is over once the fruit is harvested, the old vine is pulled, the new compost is brought in and the cover crop is planted. THEN is is over.
