Subject: Damage to pumpkins.

Can anyone tell me how to deal with some minor damage to pumpkins. I'm having some trouble with small blossom end splits and some scaring of the fruits. I assume that its due to the growth of the fruits. I sprayed some anti fungal spray on them and on one plant I soaked a calcium soaked towel on it. Amy help would be appreciated. I also understand that the normal growth will cause such damage due to the pumpkins genetics. I'd just like to know how to insure that the fruit doesn't explode or fail due to sickness....
