We are growing giant field pumpkins this year and wondered if there was an estimation chart similar to the giants. If it were a giant, it would be around 40 pounds already, which is bigger thna we had at theend of last year.

I don't think many people kept measurements on their giant field pumpkins.I haven't done any OTT measurements on mine but the circumference is 45" on day 16 on the 145 McInnis and 38.5" on day 14 on the 120 McInnis.

Its called a bathroom scale on a level surface. Who needs an estimate when you have actual.

Using a scale could also cause problems while pumpkin is still attached to stem

I was really hoping for even a circumference chart. Does anyone take a final measurement for field pumpkins? Is there any record of size vs. weight?

i thought we were on big pumpkins .com ? nothing mentioned about field pumpkins, baby moons or even moons over my hammy.
id bet you could get a fair guesstimate though by using the same chart and measuring tape that the big boys and gals use on the big girls of the patch.
i realize field pumpkins are thinner walled so id probably deduct 15 percent from the big pumpkins chart.
