your stump and main could be an indication of how big your pumpkin will be.

to small is not good.the stump and main is the highway that the nutrients will travel during the growing season.
all side roads (side vines ) lead to the freeway ( the main vine)on their way home ( tjhe fruit )every day for at least three months.

the size of the stump can be caused by but not limited to ---genetics and also the amount of fertalizers and nutrients in your soil. mostly the latter.

a stump the size of your index finger is certainly lacking due to something missing in your soil.

a stump and main the size of a mans two fingers can grow as big a fruit as the stump thats the size of a wrist.

our stumps usually end up on the big side because of the amount of sprays ,drenches etc, that we use.

dont get to hung up on stump size unless its a pencil neck as i mentioned above

Yeah! if the stump is an indication on how big my pumpkin will be, i think i should easy get my goal of 1000
pb is 682 lbs.
My 1370 is amazing, i hope the pollinated pumpkin will grow..
