We usually cut them, let them dry & leave them that way. Some folks prefer to bury the ends. Not sure why.

I need the same info.,I have been cutting the ends of my seconderies and buring them.I am not sure where exactly I should be cutting them?Past the last leaf,or in the middle? I have been cutting them just past one of the leaves that is at least 6" long.I know that it will root there since there is always a root at every leaf.So now that I have done most everything wrong again, how do I prepare the ends of the main's?Just like I did with the secondaries?I am pretty sure that you don't want it to dry up on the end? A little help would be great! Thanks RON!!

I may be wrong, but I let the main continue to grow, but only the main. It serves as an indicator of plant health.

I am out of room! I have seven on and pollinated with about five more to pollinate and then I have to end them.If you look at my diary you will be able to see my back patio and sidewalk are right there with three mains kinda running into each other.
