I've been trying to research this on the internet with limited success so I thought I'd throw this out for someone like Tremor to answer if possible.
When using a systemic insecticide or fungicide, how much translocation of the product can you expect? In other words, I've been using Orthex (Acephate & Triforine) and wondered (as I am running low and can't get it in Canada) if you spray 1/2 the plant, will the active ingredients translocate to the areas that you did not spray and how effective would it be?
In the past, I was advised to spray the older growth and it would translocate into the newer growth.
Steve?

I think systemics will translocate better to the new growth, but not as easily to the old growth...
Maybe, lol...

Foliar is minimal at best with DMIs & Benzis. Aliette is the only true up/down fungi. Merit is complete if the entire rootzone is treated.
