last night I was looking over my plants as the sun was starting to set. I noticed on one of them there was a secondary started that was growing strait up on the back of a tall leaf. Stupidly I got a v stick to redirect it to the side of the leaf forgetting how stiff the plants are in the eve without the afternoon sun. Anyway of course it broke off right above the main vine. I thought since it was not my main plant I would try something new so I broke off a chunk of my beewax and melted it over the open area where the vine broke off. it had been bleeding alot of water so the wax cooled off as soon as it hit it. I looked at it this morning and everything looks good. I will post a pic in my diary after.

I'd be interested to see how that fairs.
I've used floral tape on the one vine(spaghetti squash)thats cracked on me this year. So far so good! plant seems to have healed itself, the taped photo is in the diary, I'm going to untape it and check the damage today.
