What the heck!?!?!

I have a female about the size of a baseball. the flower is/was growing great, but it won't turn yellow or open. Anyone have this happen where the female did eventually open? It has been like this for about 5 days, but isn't dying either.

Female looks great, but won't open. Frustrating.

She'll "squat down" the night before. She will open probably at the least convenient time.

"squat down"?? Not sure what that means. The pumpkin is already laying down. the flower still looks really good. I can't believe how big it is, without the flower opening. I hope you are correct. I just hope it opens. Sheesh, why do we do this.

I will get a pic later. The flower never did open. It never got yellow and is still stiff. I have played some music and ran a hot bath for her, but she is still refusing to open. I may have to force entry I guess.
