Here Bristol R.I. we've had nothing but rain. Can anyone tell me how this will effect the plants I know it can't be good because it's way to mush rain and its totally messing up the small patch I have. The soisplashing mud back onto the leave the soil is erroding do to the amount of heavy rain. No broken leaves but the rain is splashing mud back onto the leaves. I still foliar fed the plants some calcium and soil soup as well as some fish and seaweed. any help would be appreciated. [email protected]

Pretty soon they will be underwater and unavailable to produce any growth due to lack of sun visibiltiy. Good news, you can park your boat closer to the house.

put a 1ft x 1ft piece of cardboard or anything remotely the same under the young fruit. it helps keel the splashing down.
spray the dirt off the young fruit. bag the males and females each night until pollination cycle is over.
in the a.m. take the male flowers (pollon) into the house in th morning and let it completely dry off for an hr before using.
you should buddy up with mike oliver who also lives in bristol. hes a good grower who would be of benefiot to you.

What a season. I haven't watered my plants once this season. Luckily I have sandy soil and the water drains well but the lack of sun and warmth is stunting growth.

with all the rain, uptake thru the roots of nutrients has to be hard with the bloating effect?what would be the best time frame and how often now would be the best time to feed thru foliar applications?leaves are looking a little lighter green in the patch then I like would anyone recommend Blood meal along the vines or would that be unavalable to the plant because of the super saturated soil?

Last year we had the terrible flooding rains in June. We lost half the patch but I still grew a personal best. Don't give up yet.

I am with you cndadoc! I have not watered except for the few days the patch has been dry in the last month. I did my ferts on those days. Other than that ol' ma' nature has done the rest. The thing that sucks, is that I put all kinds of money into my watering system and have not been able to use it. Should have spent that money on lotto tickets! Might have a better chance of getting a winner there this year!
