Yesterday I dodged a major bullet. I was about 45 east of my house helping my wife move some furniture in her classroom and saw the skies begin to grow darker. Knowing that the weather usually hits by the house before were I was at, I was nervous. On the way home I drove through one hell of a hail storm (might need some paintwork on my truck). I called to my folks and asked my dad if they had gotten any hail at their house and he said yes, alot.

At this point I am in a bad mood! Got home and as soon as the lightening stopped I went out to the patch anticipating to find the worst. To my disbelief, there was not a single hole in my plants(except for the few that the cuc beetles made).

All I can say is that after the crappy weather and other mishaps I've had this year, I am very grateful to have been passed over by that storm!

Sorry to hear of those who got hit. Keep in there. I had a similar disaster last year.
