It was about 92 yesterday with no clouds in the sky, when I got home from work my plants were wilted pretty good. Today I noticed on a couple of the newer leaves the tip area (first couple inches) was black (looked kinda like frost damage).
My question is: Is this black from the severe wilting or could this be something else?
What I did was just rip off the black area and the leaves look happy enough now.
Thanks for the help!

some of my baby leaves at the ends of the mains got burned a few days ago and turened a blackish color. guess those tender leaves have to be shaded.
i left them on for now....may cut them later in season. got chair in front of the mains now to help with some shade.....although next week looks like a cool rainy week coming.

leaf burn is almost impossible to overcome unless you have only a couple plants in and have the time to shade all the tips. they burn because there is no root system under the new growth. misting every 1/2 hr or so will also stop the leaf burn should you have misters set up on a timer.
