Riding out a big storm front right now. Hail, winds, lightning, thunder... Got it all with this one. So far, so good in the patch. I had a chance to get some wind breaks back up and am hoping for the best. It sounds like WW 3 out there!

We're getting a doosy storm too. I was warned last night to protect my plants, and I didn't get the plastic back up. I'm hoping for the best. I think we may miss the worst part of the storm.

One storm down, one to go. Some minor hail damage here, thats about it. Buried well enough that the tap roots and everything kept the vines in place. Only wierd thing was my sons female on his 1177* Haist. It was ready to open last night seemingly, but only opened about a 1/2 inch or so. Flower looked young still, so I left it be to open more tomorrow. Well, todays storm, it was filled up with rain.
Now my question on this is, can this female still pollenate of it dries out? I poked a few holes in the bottom of the flower to let the rain water out, but am concerned this one may not take tomorrow morning. Any ideas?
Thanks for the heads up Joe. If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a storm.
Brooks, You "Rickrolld" me on another post! Glad to get even with you!

Some bad ones hit CT as well. Lots of hail. Some towns had hail over 1.5 inches in diameter.
