Subject: half-time double mainvine?

I have a plant that has a mainvine that grows double for a couple nodes, then single for a couple nodes....back and forth. Has anyone had a similar plant, and if so, did it eventually go single? The main is about 7' long currently. The plant is mostly for genetics....I'm thinking of growing two pumpkins on the plant and giving it 200sq. ft. to grow. Should I terminate the main now, and go with the best secondary? |
