Ok so it's been I don't know how long since I have worked on my plants, I see the roots-(White Fangs)growing out at each leaf node. I also see them drying up- or harding off, how long does one have to get them covered before they just won't help the plant?? I have often wondered about this but but have never dug one back up to see..By the way if anyone has seen the sun, send it my way.:)

They can root themselves. Gently pull one. Does it resist?

Regardless; bury the nodes now.

The sun is out here right now but not for long according to the news.

ounce you bury them, they seem to grow roots faster, the plant get established and the roots really seem to take off,Kinda slow at the first 8 or 10' of main vine

You may actually be seeing the top nodes shooting upward? At each junction on the vine, there is the leaf, flower, side-vine tip, tendril, and a node root on the top and bottom of that vine junction. Perhaps the vine has rooted in on the bottom and you are only seeing the top root shoot upward looking to find soil as the other one did. If that is the case you could mound some soil above where the roots shoot up and hope they follow moisture and gravity and turn downward or just forget about them.
