Should one bypass a 5.5 lobe flower?? Doesnt this tend to show a potential for a splitter due to a potential bulge in the fruit with the half lobe?

Do half lobes produce bulges? If I had a 5.5 lobe at 12-15'...I would be impressed and pollinate!!!! Peace, Wayne

In theory that partial lobe will probably become a partial segment in the finished pumpkin.

Just a guess,, but look at the 1407 Hemphill pumpkin, looks like it might have had half of lobe,,,doesnt it?

theres only one way to find out wizzer. there is a chance that you could get a indentation in the area where the partial lobe is located and, if you get a dill ring as well? gonezo, splitsville. id pick a different pumpkin
