Just think, no weeding, spraying toxic chemicals, spending more money. Just pull them plants. relaxe, sip lemonade and go fishing . Dave

Golf costs a lot more these days than AG growing. I just hope I get a pretty orange one. I'm way behind last year.

I went out and put up tarps over my plants (most of the plant anyway). I had my stumps rot out last year with to much rain in June. I am not giving up yet here in northern CT.

Several vines are cheaper than a kid in college.
Several vines are cheaper than a kid NOT in college yet.

I am past being committed or having rubber wallpaper. I go to the gory end..... NEXT year someone can hide my seed boxes and files! [tough love intervention]

You might as well get your fishin, golfin, and drinkin in while you can cause it when it warms up you' ll have even more to do. Or you can start planning for next year.

give up? quit? did we give up when the germans bombed pearl harbor? lol -great line from the movie "animal house".

it is somewhat discouraging to not have better weather but its not gonna be perfect each and every year.

theres a lot of growing time left in thie season. pollinations will take place and pumpkins will grow.
the only question is how soon? and how big?
i know Doc G,he wont give up, hes just agravated like a lot of us.
ps ------my spelling sucks

Don't quit now! You already have too much time into it this year so far. Think of this old quote which I believe was from a man named John Dryden "Beware the fury of a patient man".

Persistance pays off. Trust me!

Give up? Never!!!!
Disappointment...maybe....
But overall.. Fun!
The day I give up is the day I hear the dirt hitting the top of my pine box..
Or maybe the way the economy is going.. my used refrigerator ( cardboard) container.. lol..!
Great soil enhancer...
Hey wait a minute.. if I could hear the dirt? hmmmmmm...
Seems to be a problem with that concept..lol....

Wiz I don't want to see your plants or pumpkins the rest of the year, It just gets me pissed off, lol. I don't understand how so many of my fellow Colorado growers are doing so well with the same weather I've been getting.

Better soil, and cheating with hoop houses and heaters.lol.

Go Eddie go!

My first year and i barely have a viable plant but I will never give up. If I see golf ball sized AG at the end of the season it's a success for me. But next year look out.
