What's cheating? You grow a pumpkin and you bring it in right?

You cannot fill the pumpkin cavity to make it heavier.

One entry per grower. Stem cut to < 1". All green = suash. Everything else = pumpkin. Fruit must be clean with no waxes or other treatments. No holes or dripping, stinking, soft spots. Most weighoffs require pre-registration.
Organic or hyped on steroids - doesnt matter.
Heaviest wins.

no milk injections allowed, all pumpkins are tested before weigh in by qualified milk testers, they test pumpkin for whole, skim and 2% milk by products.

You have to be willing to be frisked when visiting a competitors patch.

No oiling/waxing them...even if it is butter from monkey's milk.
Joe milk is best sprayed 10 parts water to one part milk to prevent powdery mildew.
