Here is some great info that Glenna Rea sent me in a email about Companion after she talked to a rep last year. Its great stuff!
From Glenna,,,,,
use 1/3 oz per gallon....drench or foliar. 1/3 oz is equal to 2 teaspoons. And to apply every 1 to 2 weeks. It is supposed to be excellent for disease, incl powdery mildew (which I totally hate!) It (like mycorrhizae) attaches to the roots. It is "gram positive" which means spore producing. The bacteria spores are Bacillus Subtilis GB03. The spores colonize on plant roots and promote nutrient uptake. It keeps roots clean from pathogens by producing an antibiotic, called iturim, which kills pathogens. It works differently from trichoderma (in Root Shield & other products - I use this also). Trichoderma actually eats fungus. This is good, but it must come in direct contact with the fungus. It will not harm leaves. He recommended spraying it on seedlings and all new leaf nodes. It stimulates phytohormones, which trigger the plant's systemic resistance to disease He said, "The soil is a dog eat dog world, between microbes and pathogens. It is important to keep the microbe count high. So it is important to continue reinoculating."
