Ok I have been watching and finally after ignoring the patch for a few days found some dreaded cucumber beetles out on my plants. Grabbed the sprayer cleaned it out from last usage last year, and sprayed a mix of sevin out on the plants. Is it me or does it seem later than normal in these parts? I was so happy to see what sevin really does to a cucumber beetle when sprayed directly with the sprayer. Hope I got them all, and hope I didn't burn any leaves. Time will tell, I used a dilute solution.

They destroyed one of my plants within a day of first sight. I have managed to keep them under control since then. Now that I just put a hex on myself by saying that, best of luck !!

None here yet. I'm thinking they could show up any day now. I should spray another dose of Garlic Barrier tomorrow. I actually like the smell of the stuff.

Non here in my side of the state, but I'm guessing it would be hard to fly in torrential down pours.

Nothing here yet. I'll be putting up an SVB trap in the next week or two to keep track of these dreaded bugs...

I have found a few here, so I will have to breakout the sevin.

Don't think you're safe if you haven't been visited by now! Last year even after preventive spraying, the beetles came on July 6th. I sprayed Garlic Barrier & Cedar Guard. On July 11th, there were thousands!!! I sprayed Talstar 4 nights in a row before I got rid of them. And, sad to say, I lost some AG's & 30 of my "party pumpkin" plants to bacteria wilt. No fun!!!! So keep a very close watch.
