For the past several weeks I've been reading this book called "The Complete Compost Gardening Guide" and have to say it is truly a great read in regards to the subject of composting. I've learned quite a bit from it.

I'm curious though, what gardening books would you recommend that aren't specifically about pumpkins?

The Biological Farmer by Gary Zimmerman. There is a lot of information packed into that book.

"Teaming with Microbes" is my favorite! I learned so much about soil science in a very readable way.
