Subject: Turning the vine?

All my plants exept the 1017 are growing in the right direction. This happened to me last year, but I diden't bother to ask for advise. Instead I made it grow in a loop which resulted in hundreds of stem splits. Isn't there another way that I don't know about?

Bigger turning diameter, always do your work at the end of a warm day, don't force it, take baby steps.

Use tomato sticks to slowly train the vine the direction you want it to go......Only in the heat of the day....

yes, the vine is brittle when it's colder in the morning.

Do most of your training out at the end, where the vine is smaller and more flexible. Closer to the stump the vine will be more brittle and easier to crack.
